League Tracker - Users Guide

This guide explains how to use the League Tracker system. If you have any questions not covered here, please contact your league administrator.

Logging In

Each user will be assigned a user ID and password by the system administrator. Use these credentials to log in to the League Tracker system.

  1. Click the "Log in" button in the top right corner of the page
  2. Enter your assigned user ID and password when prompted
  3. After logging in, you will be redirected to the home page
Note: If you have trouble logging in or have forgotten your credentials, contact your team captain or the league administrator.

Match Workflow

1. Selecting a Match

The home team is responsible for entering match data. To begin entering scores for a match:

  1. From the navigation menu, click on "Matches"
  2. Choose your match by its number (1, 2, etc.) from the list
  3. If you are the home team, under the ACTIONS tab on the right, click the "View" button next to your match
  4. This will load the match data
  5. To add competitors to the relay, slide the right side view bar down to the Relay & Lane Assignments window. Click the Edit relays button
  6. The Edit Relays dialog will appear, allowing you to manage competitors for the selected relay.
Note: Only one match should be loaded at any time. If you need to work on a different match, finish your current match first or contact an administrator.

2. Adding Competitors to a Relay

After selecting a match, you need to assign competitors to relays and lanes:

  1. Select a competitor from the dropdown list
  2. Assign them to a relay number (1, 2, 3, etc.)
  3. Assign them to a lane number (1-15)
  4. Repeat for all competitors participating in the match
Note: Competitors must be assigned to a relay and lane before scores can be entered.

3. Printing the Relay Sheet

Once a relay is filled with competitors, ‘X’ out of the window. In the Relay & Lane Assignments window, select the relay (1, 2, etc.) then select “Print Relay Sheet”.

  • Match information (date, match name, home/away teams, relay number)
  • Each competitor's name, team, and lane number
  • Columns for recording alibies for Timed Fire A, Timed Fire B, Rapid Fire A, Rapid Fire B
  • A column to mark DNF (Did Not Finish) if needed
  1. Distribute these sheets to the range officers for score recording

4. Entering Scores

After each set of targets are manually scored you can enter scores for the competitors:

  1. From the match details page, click "Quick Score Entry"
  2. Enter each competitor's scores in the following format:
    • Slow Fire: 2 strings of 10 shots each (up to 100 points per string)
    • Timed Fire: 2 strings of 10 shots each (up to 100 points per string), plus X count for each string
    • Rapid Fire: 2 strings of 10 shots each (up to 100 points per string), plus X count for each string
  3. The system will automatically calculate totals for each phase
  4. If a competitor did not finish, check the DNF box
Note: The system will display running totals as you enter scores. For example, if a competitor scores 80 in Slow Fire A and 90 in Slow Fire B, the display will show "80+90=170". For Timed and Rapid Fire, X counts are also tracked. For example: "99-5x + 98-4x = 197-9x".

Editing Scores

If you need to correct a score after it's been entered:

  1. Navigate to the match details page
  2. Find the competitor whose score needs correction
  3. Click the "Edit" button next to their name
  4. Update the scores as needed
  5. Click "Save" to update the scores
Note: After a match is marked as complete, only administrators can edit scores. If you find an error after submitting the match, contact an administrator.

Viewing Match Results

Once all scores are entered, you can view the final results:

  1. From the match details page, click the "Team Results" tab
  2. This will display:
    • Gold Team competitors from both teams with their scores
    • Blue Team competitors from both teams with their scores
    • Team aggregate scores and points earned
Remember: The top five competitors from each team form the Gold Team, and the next highest five form the Blue Team. Points are awarded for aggregate score (2 points) and for each phase: slow fire (1 point), timed fire (1 point), and rapid fire (1 point).

Tie Breaking Rules

  • For Timed and Rapid Fire: If teams are tied on score, the team with the higher X count wins the point. If X counts are also tied, the team with the higher sum of B targets wins.
  • For Slow Fire: If teams are tied, the team with the higher sum of Slow Fire B scores wins the point.

Team Standings

You can view the current league standings at any time:

  1. Click "Team Standings" in the navigation menu
  2. This displays the current standings for both Gold and Blue teams
  3. Teams are ranked by total points earned across all matches
Remember: Season standings accumulate over all 27 matches to determine the best Gold and Blue club teams for the season.
